I utilize a variety of evidenced based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.
Adult DBT Skills Group
I teach the 4 modules of DBT: mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Emotion Regulation. This group is taught in weekly sessions over the course of 24 weeks and is adherent to the DBT skills protocol outlined by Dr. Marsha Linehan.
DBT Graduate Group
This is a 5 week group designed for adults who have completed a 24 week DBT skills group. It is deigned to help clients continue and deepen their skills practice and has a particular focus on skills to identify and reduce the intensity of shame and self criticism. Self compassion practices are introduced.
DBT Consultation for Non-DBT therapists
Consultation and Training offered for clinicians interested in learning how to support their clients who are learning DBT, or interesting in incorporating DBT skills into their work with clients.
